If your local-ilok-driver-thing is "Synchronized" well enough with your Web-Service-ilok account, software will launch.
#Waves gtr3 cpu install
You install your Waves software, and it will require that you have your ilok hogging one of your USB ports (thus it is adviced that you buy a cheapo usb-hub, just for dongle things). That part is all ilok voodoo, which goes around and asks Waves if in-fact you own that shit, and should have the required authorization to use your own product (, when this goes well, it will show up in your Licence-Admin screen -sort of like an e-mail would. From the WEB Service account, you have the ability to "admin" your licences, thus for your Waves GTR thing, Waves would give you a code, which you then input while using this Web-Service-Licence-Admin thing. This client software has the ability to connect and "synchronize" itself with an ilok WEB Service account.
#Waves gtr3 cpu driver
you download and install a client software which is like a driver for your ilok. I would recommend an external amp, but that's just me.ġ. You go to the ilock website and you can transfer your licenses easily from lock to lock if you have more than one, (I have 3). Once you install the PACE extension, (included with the WAVES installer).

The only drawback I've found is that the lock is pretty fragile, (I've snapped off one hanging on the side of my machine before). iLock is extremely easy to use from machine to machine.
#Waves gtr3 cpu serial key
And it's serial key only, meaning no iLok crap. Anyone tried Waves GTR Solo yet? It's cheap and seems to have a reduced set but still pretty good. Do any of you have Waves GTR3? (BTW, I'm not interested in either NI GR3 or Amplitube, so please save those recommendations for another discussion.) Does it work well in Live? I hear Waves doesn't officially support Live. Do I have to buy it separately? How does it work? Does it authorize over the web? After I have the key, can I just take it from one machine to another? Suppose I have a studio box.can I then put the ilok key on a laptop and gig with it?Ģ.

I've never used dongles or keys, so I'm wondering about iLok.
